I did the same thing. I tried pumping too but my milk didn't end up coming in until my son was a couple weeks old already. Don't feel bad, you aren't the only momma who wanted to breast feed but couldnt!

I hate that I had to give it up . but I knew I wasn't getting enough as soon as he got the bottle he was the happiest baby.

My son is the same. He went to NICU for the first couple of days and they gave him formula. Now he screams when he doesn't get milk fast enough. But I still try to pump whatever I can and give it to him when I can. They say our breast milk is gold so I give it to him when I produce enough.

I had to give up when my baby boy was 2 days old . he was allergic to my milk and it severely constipated him... you have to do what you have to do for your baby. your still a great mommie
