anyone have any advice on how to get rid of a dry cough I don't have a cold I just have a bad cough I've had it for 5 days now and it won't go away I've tried the meds they told me take and cough drops but nothing is helping I would really like it go away and would like to sleep it's getting really annoying

When I get Bronchitis which is usually every year, it goes away but I'm left with a dry cough for like a month. I've come to learn that anything warm/hot to drink helps me at least. I also drink jello as weird as it sounds but my doctor told me to make jello and drink half of it while it's still warm and just let the other half set to later. That worked for me also.
