@babie_2016, i read through the rest of the comments pretty quick... but did i read that he is going to go place himself on CS?? if so, he's smart.. and you better try and beat him.. when men place themselves on CS in most cases (i have witnessed) it make the payments wayyy cheaper than it would be if you file first and it give him rights to your child for him to see him or get him whenever he wants... but..... to answer your main concern, it is many resources available to single moms.. i know most ppl feel like they dont wanna be on government assistance, but if u need it, then u need it.. u just hve to say f him and do what u hve to do for your child.. keep your head up momma.. dont let the bby feel your stress

they took money away? how? as long as you go to the work first meetings and show that you are actively applying for jobs there shouldnt be a problem

I haven't seen my baby father since I was 13 weeks pregnant, and I've never gotten a penny from him to support my son & he will be 7 months old tomorrow. I'm not putting him on child support bc it gives the father his rights, and I dont want or need him in our lives! Child support is definitely your choice, but just remember it comes with legal rights.

apply for tanf.. you'll have to submit an application for child support.. while they are working on the child support youll get cash assistance.

I understand exactly where your coming from. the father of my child only been to one appt and hasn't bought anything since. but what you need to do is pray and if you have a support system ask if they can help you in any way.

You can't force him, child support is most likely the best option
