I just joined this the other day, & I haven't talked to anyone yet. But you can get Braxton hicks starting at 8 weeks, but other OB's may say differently. I personally have never felt Braxton hicks until this pregnancy. I'm 23 weeks pregnant with my second baby. I'd say what you're experiencing probably is Braxton hicks, but if it worries you I'd call the on call doctor or your OB, just to be on the safe side. But from the sounds of it, it sounds pretty normal to me :)

I've been feeling Braxton Hicks since 18 weeks. technically your body starts doing them around 6 weeks, but they aren't usually noticeable until at least 14 weeks. At least, that's what my OB told me at my last appointment.
