I'm thinking about going natural, but I'm thinking that since I'm so "young" my body won't "handle" all of the pressure…

It's us older ones that can handle the pain better then the young ones 😉

No epidural with my first at 18 was the best ever!! They gave me the epi but it failed but I had IV pain meds took the edge off. At 20 with my daughter I had an epidural and they messed it up. Worst ever!! I was so out of it and have complications still. Pregnant with twins now going natural!!! So love being young means nothing!!

How old are you? i really think it shouldnt matter they say medically and physically the beat time to have a baby is really young because you can recover so well and handle it so well. (But obvi they dont suggest having babies young lol) i had my son natural a month after I turned 21. If you want to do it you totally can, dont let people scare you and dont full your head with negative thoughts ot will deffinatly bring you down during birth and my biggest mistake i wish i would have read more positive success stories and not listened to so mainly failures. Its deffinatly doable!

You most likely won't know what you want until you're actually in labor. Everyone has a different experience. Keep an open mind.

@dja, I'm going natural because of the complications the epidural caused with my daughter almost 8 years ago. I told my ob I refuse to get one ever again. I have placenta previa that if it doesn't move by time to deliver I have to have a c-section. I told them I would rather be knocked out than ever have another epidural. Of course that doesn't happen to everyone. You would be surprised what your body can handle when you put your mind to it. With my son I was up and doing everything with him shortly after birth. My daughter I was terrified to hold because I had horrible back spams for months and was scared I'd drop her.

me lamsmommy, I'm 17 (18 next month) people are telling me since I'm young I'll have complications during labor and I read in a couple articles too, but I'm determined to at least try. I dislike when people tell me I can't do something 🙄

@dja, So did I and it just made me so determined and some women an epidural is whay they needed. But if you put your mind to it you can do it. Just be positive. Being young is only an advantage. Trust your gut your body was built for this! 😘

@dja, you'll do great just get in lots of walking wear yoga pants or leggings. eat healthy balanced meals and take general good care of yourself. with my first the epidural failed. this time I'm going natural as long as possible. but either way just know its going to result in a beautiful baby. you have this chicka.

you can do it naturally, because your young your body will be fine. I did it at 19

Totally just creeped through your posts... But I didn't get the epidural with my twins. I'm 18, and was 18 at the time I gave birth. Good luck! Labor sucks but it's totally the most rewarding thing there is. And I can definitely say I'm glad I didn't get the epidural.
