when do people usually start planning baby showers? how far along is the mother? I have known the sex of my baby for about a month now and no one has said anything to me about a baby shower...it kind of hurts my feelings. should I be worried?
It's mostly for the party games. Lots like to have the huge belly to use for them. That's just from experience, not a standard.
@anddinner, that doesn't really give us parents enough time to pick up what's left to buy. why so late?
just do whatever you can you still have time to plan something. I didn't wait for anybody to tell me about it . . instead I started telling EVERYONE about it and show them the theme I want for it and I went to see the park where I'll do it . I have somebody who makes beautiful cakes she will do it for me 😍 mom is gonna buy the stuff for it. and I made the list of people to invite already I need to go register at babiesRus to start getting the invitations done!!! I'm just exited 😃 I wouldnt care if nobody tells me tell me anything they have to do it . 😛. Mother in law will cook pasta and salad ! I have everything in my mind 😃😃
I am throwing my own and it has been great. I decided to do mine next weekend though and I'm due March 19. Just in case I still needed a lot of stuff then I wouldn't be stressed out about it.
I started planning soon as I found out. If you want one plan it yourself then that way you will have it exactly how you want. Pinterest is a great place to start for ideas.
Don't be scared to throw your own. I liked it better planning it myself. Everything was exactly how I wanted it. :-)
In my experience they're usually a month before the baby is due. We always planned them starting about a month and a half before the party.
Nobody has really said anything to me about mine. Most people don't even know I'm having one yet. I'm having mine the end of March that way i won't feel rushed to get everything situated for her. I'm due the beginning of May.
I was 36 1/2 weeks for mine.
