Question mommy's! When did you start allowing everyone to see your newborn? I've had a lot of people pushing but he's not even 2 weeks yet and I'm trying to keep everyone at a distance especially with all the viruses going around..

I would wait until your newborn has their shots. If you don't feel ready after the shots. then wait as long as you want until you and your little ones ready. Nobody should ever pressure you expecially after having the baby and still recovering.

I really didn't have anyone around my son for like the 1st month. Just me, his dad and my dad

Honestly when ever you're comfortable same day,a week, a month. I had family and friends holding my little one at the hospital

@kreeblim, I had visitors too but it wasn't my choice.. I had a c-section and my in-laws brought friends and a young child. I was still so out of it. Also just found out my father in law has been put on antibiotics for pneumonia.. Which he probably had when Lucas was born so I'm just super iffy with everyone now. They're not allowed until we know everyone in that house is healthy , not gonna risk it

Breastfed babies get immunity from mommy, so that makes a difference. I had a few close people I knew were clean and healthy around the first day, then we took her to my hubbys work for just a little while second day. Lots of people goo goo'd at her but she was mainly in my arms, around a week or two is when we gradually started letting more people hold her. If she was formula fed I probably would have been more of a home body for the first two months, which is when they start to build their own immune system, and would have made sure no visitors had recently been sick and made them wash up right before hand.

@baileymomma, washing hands is always a must except for that first day and they all passed him around. I had zero control. Thank u for reminding me how I'm passing my immunity onto him.. I think I'm gonna wait a while just because the majority of people I do know are sick and this weather is horrible .

That's probably a good choice @myliltadpole1116 I didn't even think to mention mine was a summer baby, I don't even recall anyone being sick.

Well when my baby was born everyone got to see her EXCEPT anyone that was sick or had a cold sore had to wait to see the baby...but everyone else got to hold her, BUT were NOT alowed to kiss her

My son is now 2 months and we're just now letting friends and family see him. Most family members wanted to wait till we got home or when he was past 1 month. I would just send everyone pictures of him or post pictures on IG and FB.
