not to mention they beat my dog with a rake and kicked him. I found him a new home to keep him away from them. The floor is from the 1920s and has never been refinished. we get slivers in our feet from it all the time. I hate living here. there aren't any other places to rent around us because it's such a small town. and we don't have good enough credit to buy yet. hopefully by next January. It could be way worse so I'm thankful for what I have but I don't want to raise my baby in this house! ugh and I can't talk to anyone about it because it'll get back to them and they'll kick us out.

oh my god! that's awful! We had to close off one of our bedrooms completely because we found mold in the closet. our landlord won't do anything about it because it's a huge problem, but all the small things get fixed... mostly by us.

I told her I'd be happy to pay more if you'd actually fix things. we live in the country and the mice are bad and she says it's our fault because we have a dog. they knew we had a dog when we moved in!! there's so many crappy things they've done to us. we tried to move into town 45 miles away but we haven't been able to find a house there yet. we look every day

Wow that is insane. How you wanna raise the rent if you don't want to fix anything. Some people just love money like this is why it's called rent! Smh it gets me so upset that some people are like that!

I would still report them. All bad landlords need to be reported so other people will know and not walk into the same situation.

@isaiahjamesmommy, that looks way better. I fixed up this house a ton. I'll send you a link to the pictures before and then after we moved in. I put a flower bed out front and want to put grass but they don't let us use the hydrants outside so I can't even plant flowers anymore.

@sexxymama83, the good thing about the small community is everyone sees what they are doing so literally no one wants to move in. she's been asking people if they want to move in after we leave. they always come back to me and laugh saying hell no! im not dealing with them

you could always get a watering can? there was a PEPTO pink room in here when we moved in. who the heck paints a room the color of pepto bismol?! we've pained 2 of the rooms and I'm working on painting the kitchen but using Kilz, I have to have my son out of the house and I don't send him away very often. I'm a sahm and I don't want anyone else to see his firsts. he's been trying to crawl for a few weeks now and my future MIL has been wanting to keep him overnight but I won't let her until he is crawling.

we haven't done much inside aside from painting and fixing a few minor things. we were asked if we wanted to buy it, but our landlord wants $50,000+. it needs waaaay too much work for that amount. the windows need replaced, needs a new roof, needs a chimney cap, the entire middle of the house needs to be ripped out and replaced due to water damage, the floors need to be jacked up, the are UNLEVEL. if he would take $10,000 we'd probably buy it, but we would gut it and start over.

@isaiahjamesmommy, I'm the same way. I don't like my kids leaving me unless they have to. I wish they would let us fix things. id make it a thousand times better
