Anyone out there have experience with a newborn with severe reflux/gerd? My 9 day old is having trouble keeping his formula down, everytime I feed him he throws it back up. I have decreased the amount of formula and feed him every hour and half to hopefully give his belly a chance to digest. Any bits of advice anyone has would be appreciated!
@kdcmommy26, thank you! Looked it up, looks like a good product
my baby is 3 months and has reflux.sitting up,burping, feeding him in intervals didnt work for us.plus,my son loves to snack..took him to the dr he prescribed first omprazole.it worked for the first 2 days and then he was back to throwing up his milk..i did research and read that sometimes it takes awhile. i asked his dr could cereal help,he said possibly.this was when he was 2 months.still havent given it to him..so i thought maybe if he had something thicker..looked for a thickener and came across Gelmix.its good for breast milk and formula and only 5 calories..i dont want a chunky baby,so im going to use this vs. the cereal..i havent purchased it yet,but going to.
@mommybump2016, I keep him sitting up for about a half hour after feedings. @aryanasmomma I am using dr brown that is supposed to be really good with controlling air and take breaks when feeding him
Ill message you on my brake at work my son had really bad reflux
I would give it atleast 2 hour intervals. and try to make sure the baby isn't getting too much air from the bottle and gently burp him after. or switch formulas.
Breast Feeding With Piercings...
I have my nipples pierced. But I want to know if I can still breast feed with them in. I know I have to take them out while breast feeding. But if I can't, I'll try to do pumping for him. But if all fails, I'll be having to give him formula. I don't want to give him formula, but if I have to, I will.
Breastfeeding.
I am a HUGE breastfeeding advocate. No, I will NOT shame you if you decide to formula feed, and will not tolerate anyone else doing so on my post. Everyone has their own reasons on why they feed their child the way they see fit.
Hey girlies! I plan on breast feeding my LO as much as I can. I also plan to formula feed when needed. Have any of you moms tried organic formulas? How was it? Experience?
My son is almost 2 months old I feed him baby food in his bottle mixed with his formula has anyone else's done this as early as me he does great he will even eat it buy a baby spoon and do fine but if I don't feed him the baby food in with his bottle he doesn't get full but if I feed him more formula he projectiles it all out
My son turns 1 this Sunday. I have introduced 2% milk as we do not buy whole milk and he was drinking formula still. Well now my boyfriend refuses to buy anymore formula for him now that he is 1. I plan on using whole milk with some vitamins. Do I feed him whole milk the way I would formula? He likes to go to sleep with a bottle and he likes a bottle in the morning. The rest of the day he does pretty good drinking it along with his food. I don’t want to over feed him but I also don’t want to und...
Oh okay cause that was happening to me with my baby but it was before I started to warm up her bottle. Now it doesn't happen anymore @jaxonsmom123
