I'm in the same boat. but I realized the child won't know the difference as long as they're loved. They don't actually care about all these societal things, they just respond to love.

My boyfriend was raised by just his mom and he turned out perfectly fine. He's 21 (almost 22) and has only talked to his sperm donor (he doesn't deserve to be called a dad) like three times in his whole life. His mother played the mommy nd daddy role and raised a perfect gentleman. You'll do fine with your son. It'll be hard, but definitely worth it in the end. ☺
