I went thru the same thing, all I wanted to do was cry I felt like a terrible mother. but it's normal! and it goes away by week 3 I was happier than ever :) it'd just emotions, hormones and sleep deprivation making you feel that way

Yeah it just went away. if it last longer than 3 months it could be pp depression. but baby blues go away before you know it! once I started getting a little more rest and started getting the hang of having a newborn it just went away

It's normal, to an extent...there's a lot going on inside and out of your body including hormones and the stress of caring for another life over yours! Breastfeeding can prolong it sometimes because of the hormones but it should get better with time in a couple weeks, and if it doesn't and you keep feeling worse and worse, just speak with your doctor. He can figure out if you have a hormone imbalance or (God forbid) postpartum depression. Either way if it lasts past the first month, speak out and seek help so you're not alone, it can be rough and no one deserves to feel like that!

@kassy, it's when you feel sad after having a baby. it's different for everyone. for me I wanted to cry 24/7 & I wasn't as happy as I thought I would be.

@arlyyrta_, ooh post partum depression. I had that with both my babies.
Kassandra·
@mommytomia, you should talk to your OB about the way your feeling, I did and they prescribed me some anti-depression pills

Not one bit, it's part of the post partum process unfortunately. The second night home with Connor he kept crying, because he was hungry and I couldn't keep up my milk supply because he was always so hungry. I slept maybe an hour that night, I just stood there and cried with him. It gets better girl, keep your head up ❤️
