My baby is only 1 month and almost 2 weeks and I was told to start it today at the doctor Because she has really bad reflux
my response is pretty biased because I'm an organic mommy. Cereal is over processed and doesn't help baby.. Unless it's whole grain and ALL ORGANIC which you can make yourself I wouldn't trust anything. I'd puree some steel cut oats and give it to baby AFTER 6mo.
you shouldn't ever put cereal in a bottle unless directed by a doctor. it should be used for reflux and other medical needs.
I'm the same way! I'm not gonna give her any until her doctor says otherwise! @kdcmommy26
Yeah, I don't think I'm gonna use it until she gets a little bit older. I'm glad your son is doing better tho! @lyndsie94
me personally,i feel like a baby is going to sleep how they want to anyway.and with fresh newborns, they shouldnt sleep thru the night. my mom and grandmom wanted me to do the same weeks before my baby turned 6 weeks also..and i dont want a chonky baby lol.so im stayin away until he 6months.
It didn't change my baby's sleep but it did seem to help the spitting up as much and it definitely hasn't hurt him. he also used to have diarrhea a lot and he don't anymore.
I was told to try it now to help my daughter sleep better but not by her doctor or anything. & then her nana wants to try because she's so greedy! Lol but I don't think I'ma go with either one of them because I feel like she's too young for that right now. @kdcmommy26
i was told 4months for formula fed and 6 months for breast fed.my son has reflux as well.when he was 2 months i asked the dr would cereal help, just being curious,he told me it could.my son is 3 months and i still havent given it to him.i did see something called Gelmix, its a thickener with only 5 calories.i want to try it.
A friend of mine told me to start using it to help my baby sleep and I'm scared to because she's so young. She's only 4 weeks!
I haven't noticed a difference to be honest. he was spitting up a lot so they did that to try to help. he still wakes up every couple hours. I wish it did help him sleep. sadly I haven't found anything that helps
@lyndsie94, Does it help he/she sleep better? I don't wanna just start using it to help her sleep.
Thank y'all for y'all answers!! @gypsy.soul2 @adara0001
