I like the name! If the name is unique the baby has a better chance of not being just like everyone else, in my own opinion.
that is beautiful. I'm naming my daughter Brayley people say its weird but I really don't care they are going to talk maybe they are jealous you picked the name and they didn't.
my mom doesn't like my babies name and she suggests other names and it gets me mad. it's your baby though, everyone else can suck it lol
It'll be Lyra Anne, I'm having her carry on my mother's middle name.. @kermi86 I love the name Leif!! We had that picked out if we were having a boy.

my husband and I wouldn't tell our families the name for the longest time because we wanted it to be completely our choice and not have anyone's input on it. so we made them wait and told them why, and eventually when we felt ready we told. no one should ever judge your choice it is completely up to you what you name you child.

@kermi86, my cousin named him little kid leif! I think it's cute!!
and I like lyra. I think it's pretty for a girl. I named my little girl rohe (row) and my in laws hated it and told me I shouldn't. fast forward a year my sister in law gives birth to a boy, names him rowan, but they call him ro, so they changed my daughter's name to robee so there isn't any confusion

that is exactly why I won't tell ppl my son's name...other than on this app bc I don't wanna deal with small minded unlearned ppl. I like the name you picked. brothers name is Leif like Leif Erickson the Viking or Leif Garrett the rock star but I don't want to hear how ppl are going to pick on him or how I should change his name to such and such

I'm naming my daughter Selah. My boyfriends uncle said it sounds like a vegetable and my grandma said it sounds like a cow. My mom loves the name but is worried people will nickname her cellulite Selah. But we love the name we've picked out. Everyone has their opinions. But I personally think Lyra is a beautiful name.
