ok so this question js for experienced mommies, what do you guys think about getting an epidural? ive heard all kinds of horror stories about getting an epidural but then again ive heard wonderful stories about getting one and that its the best thing they have ever receieved for pain... thoughts??

ive had it done twice. the first time was fine. then the second time it was a terrible experience i was having a contraction and the guy missed and he kept telling me to sit still. i couldnt. well it sent like a shock through my whole body. Im now pregnant with baby #3 and im going to to do it again because i dont want to be in pain.
@gabbator95, with my first no with my sec yes because I was asleep and didn't even know they was doing it till he started poking and it atung and woke me up. they had me on strong medication for my sec so I was out of it I didn't even know I sat up for the epidural
i had a horrible time getting the epideral unfortunately it didnt work for me is actually numbed my whole left side from head to toe they had to stop my epideral now i have back problems where i got the epideral at .... but my sister had 3 pregnancies all epiderals and she had no problems it all depends on the person really
@halsey11, that's what I was thinking lol compared to the contractions that needle was nothing
the epidural was wonderful, the worst for me was it going in but right after that i was good to go lol
@gabbator95, I was in so much pain by that time that the needle didn't even bother me. Plus they numb the area real good first. And yes it stays in your back but you can't feel it. With my oldest son I had a horrible migraine for like a week after birth. I'm not sure if it had anything. To do with ot
I've had four... The last two I got were at 9cm & 10cm! Natural child birth hurts like hell. Those two births I went all the way to the end with nothing, then had epidural for pushing...
didn't have it for the first three but did have it for the last three. I love it. And no it doesn't hurt when they do it it just feels weird. They clean your back really well first .@gabbator95,
I didn't even feel it go in and had no issues during or after! Got it a little too early so felt the whole delivery but otherwise i had a great experience.
I did no meds first time and will definitely be doing it this time--God willing lol.
did it hurt when they put that long ass needle in? and do they keep a tube in your back to keep the epidural going? do they numb your back before putting it in and if so does it work?
I had one for both of my daughters and loved it. It made me able to relax and enjoy the moment of my baby's birth
I got it with both my girls and I did just fine no problems at all.
as much as it hurts, it's so worth it going natural!
