So my baby girl does better with the 4 oz dr brown bottles, the hospital has tried different bottles with her because she was struggling with her other ones. So today i am headed out to get her the same bottles for home. Now question.. They say they are dish washer safe so do i really REALLY need to buy a bottle sterilizer? And for a bottle warmer, should i stick with the Dr brown bottle warmer? Or do you guys recommend something else?? Im trying to do quick research on them before i go shopping but i rather hear from you mommies!

you could just boil them in a pot to sterilize the bottles that's what I do.

I wash them in the dishwasher then I had wash them after, and 2 times a month is boil everything, the nipples if not sanitized properly can leave white on their tongue.

I have a steamer where you sterilize it also but more fit in a big pot. I don't I just give it to him room temperature since I can't warm it up when we're out.

@blanca_boo, oh damn... Good thinking... But since the hospital warms up her milk now do you think she will like it better warm compared to room temp? Im sorry im trying so hard to figure it all out😫

I sterilize everything in a pot of boiling water. I never used a bottle warmer. BUT I have a water purifier that had hot and cold water.. I think a bottle warmer is not a necessity but that's just me.

I only sterilized them when I first got them now I just handwash them after each use.

@emmysfishies, if she's used to it warm that's probably how'll she will want them.you'll have to see what she prefers I know they can get picky. You'll learn more as you go I didn't know much either still getting the hang of things myself.

I hand wash dr Browns bottles with soap and warm water and then use the medela steam bags to sanitize them and my breast pump parts. I use the avent bottle warmer.
