how many week do I need to be to have a chair at work as my manager is refusing

There is no number of weeks you should be hun as every pregnancy is different, what I would suggest is go to your doctor explain the pain your in standing up and ask for a doctor's note stating that you need a chair to carry out work duties x

also if you stand for too long you may feel faint! Have a read of your maternity policy, Im sure by law they need to make reasonable adjustments for your. (but please don't quote me on that) x

I called hr and they said my manager is meant to be dealing with my pregnancy and making me feel comfortable in the work area so there gonna complain and make some inquiries @mummywarwick

Yes do, that doesn't sound fair at all, all you're asking for is a chair so you can carry on your job! xXx

No matter what stage in your pregnancy they need to do an assessment for you to make sure you're not over straining/doing it.. I'd raise the issue so you get the correct support xx

A family member of mine worked at McDonald's and was made to stay in her feet for 8-10 hours a day until she finally left when she was about 8 months. Apparently she wasn't allowed a chair or stool because of health and safety

and apparently if they can't help your need they have to dismiss u on full pay how u having a pregnant lady standing up to be fair mc ds it's not really possible to sit down as u always have to get up to serve where now I work in a sainsburys garage where it's possible to sit down and stand for when I need to but I just haven't got the choice there and my hr manager said that I do have a choice so his gonna complain
