please help!
my daughter is almost a month old (shes will be on the 9th) and i think she's sick and im so worried..my husband doesnt believe me because im extremely neurotic. im sick and its getting bad but i dont have health insurance because the fucking state hates me.
anyways shes been congested for a few days and ive been making warm salt water and suctioning out her nose...it doesnt help much, shes sleeping alot more and falling asleep alot and harder to keep awake, her poop is runny too. im around her 24/7 i have no one to help me and my husband has to work unless its an emergency. i cant drive and the place that she was born at cut her off because on the 1st i lost my insurance..please help, does she sound sick?? is there anything i can do??? im so worried!!

I would call your pediatrician office and ask, they should be able to tell you what to give the lo over the phone or tell you to take her to the er. My pedi doesn't charge for phone calls

yes take her to the er, my baby started feeling the same way and ended up having RSV

@kreeblim, her pediatrician wont talk to me..nurse or anybody because shes no longer a member

My son had the same exact thing, he is two moths old and he had a cold. All I could do for him was give infant Tylenol for his fever and do a saline rinse and suction out his nose.. It's the fifth day and he's almost better. But you need to take her to make sure it's not going to her chest!

take her to the er, they will treat her regardless
my son had RSV at 2 months old, and ended up staying 5 days at children's hospital, on oxygen. you need to make sure the mucus isn't in her chest... RSV can be severe for the little ones

Keep giving the saline drops, don't suction right away because you don't want to suction out the drops. Do the saline before feedings if it sounds like she's congested. With the Tylenol I wouldn't give it to her unless a doctor has given you a specific amount, they determine the dosage based off of how old she is and her height and weight. Monitor her temp and make sure she's feeding enough. If her temp is above 100.6 take her in to the doctor or if to lower than 97.5. My daughter has been sick with what sounds like the same thing for almost three weeks now. I'm in nursing school and my mom is a nurse as well. If it gets worse then take her emergency
