I think you get to choose who you want in the room with you. it's all about comfort. you need the best support you can and people who are understanding if your one to tell profanity lol.

my hubby's mom was pissed that I didn't want her in the room. I didn't care though...it was our own personal moment and she would've tried stealing the show. Anybody will tell you it's your decision for anything happening in that delivery room.
