Question of the day... Ladies, do you think the 3D ultrasound is worth it? Everyone keeps telling me…

@mumof2, Same thing I was thinking ... Just every time I bring it up.. They tell me it's too expensive for not even looking like the baby. Kinda have me thinking.

I didn't with my previous pregnancies but with my last one we did. It was def an experience that I'm glad we did. It's a whole different insight on what baby looks like. Just to see from a 3D and not 2d is a wonderful experience. I loved it! We had a 3D done at 21 weeks and then 3D & 4D done at 33 weeks. It's pretty awesome I think.

On the left is my baby now. On the right is my firstborn. They look very alike to me. I guess I won't know until this baby is born though lol

I wanted to get one but they are expensive so I didn't. Baby may not look exactly like the ultrasound but similar.

I believe I was 28 weeks when I had my 4D, and the other pic is on our car ride home.

to a point they look the same, but of course they have their differences. I did it with my first but don't think I will be this time, simply because I waited until 32 weeks with my first and did not get good pictures at least they weren't worth $100+ to me. and I'm 30 weeks now and think it's too late, I would've rather have done it at 25-28 weeks. It's totally your choice though, I think it was a fun time, I just think they're pretty pricey.

I totally recommend it ! Great memories to have ! I had mine done at 30 weeks with my second baby I wish I would have done it with the first !

Yes I recommend it when ur further along. If u get too early u can't see much as they all sorta look alienish lol. But further along yes. I recommend for the experience. For me it was a different insight as to the position, seeing him move, yawn I loved it! Def a wonderful memory IF u have the right tech to get awesome pics/video.

@xoxosam, I said I believe at 28 weeks because my guy turns 8 months old today and with the lack of sleep, I can't remember what happened when lol not all of the pictures were great from my 4D, but if you can't wait to see your bundle and want to have the memories, it's a great option! my OB did them complimentary.

I was so excited that I had to have one. It was one of the coolest things I've seen. It was fun to see her like that.

@xoxosam it is okay to get the 3D if you really want it. Luckily when I went to go get my last 2D ultrasound the technician pulled the 3D one up for me too for free I didn't even know she was gon do that I was surprised he looked like my older son I think they do look how they look on the 3D ultrasound.

I definitely think you should get one my husband and I really enjoyed it!! My profile pic is 3D and she was smiling!!
