hey ladies! first post!
this is my first child, I'm 29 weeks and I'm having a boy! I'm super exited and everything intrigues me. this is my bf second child. he's happy but not like how I'm happy... it gets to me sometimes because I always pictured having a child with someone with no kids too so that level of excitement or anxiousness would be there or be similar and we could do it together. it's great that he has experience but it almost doesn't feel special...
am I the only one going through that,or has anyone else experienced it or is experiencing it now? do you have any advice on how to get passed it?

Me and my partner both have kids from different people , 1 each and we are expecting our 1st child together and we both are excited more than ever.

@mommytobe422, was that a hard transition to blend the families? how are the children feeling about having a new baby coming? my stepson doesn't believe there's a baby in my belly lol but I'm scared he won't like the baby because he won't be the baby anymore

@kaotiqsammi, We'll it's very different from my end to yours, it's more complicated. My fiance is White and his son is all white and my daughter is all black so we are extremely different but his child is 8 now and he's okay with having a sister that's mixed raced and my daughter is only 4 years old and she doesn't know any better but she loves the fact that she is having a sister.

@mommytobe422, ok yea your situation is very different but it's great that they are cool with it and that y'all are blending well. I'm just hoping my stepson (he's 5 but he's spoiled) will be accepting of the baby. I don't think he understands because we don't have any baby stuff yet though

@kaotiqsammi, I'm sure once the baby gets here everything will be fine. he's still very young to really understand
