You couldn't find a babysitter?!
You couldn't find a babysitter?! Mommas, do you take your kids with you to run errands and go to mundane appointments? On two separate occasions, a doctors appointment for me and today at a car service appointment, someone has remarked "you couldn't find a babysitter?!" It never crossed my mind to find a babysitter. I take my 2 kids with me just about everywhere. They are well behaved (minus the occasional 3 year old meltdown) and one of them is attached to my boob the majority of the time anyway. Am I the only one? Is that a weird thing to do? Do most moms find babysitters?

they make you drink sugar to see how your body takes it, yes you have no choice, and i believe 24-26 weeks

It's to check to see if you have gestational diabetes, yes you have to take it. It's normally between 25-27 weeks depending on your doctor.

You do not have to take it , you don't have to do anything. The doctors cannot make you , BY LAW. It is optional . But it's best you do take it so you are informed for your health and safety and your child's.

It to test for Gestational Diabetes and to make sure your body is processing sugar correctly. It is very common for women to fail the first one hour test but pass the three hour test. I failed the first one hour test 3 times but always passed the three hour one.

I love when people say you don't have to take a test during pregnancy. it's required to make sure you don't develop gestational diabetes. don't listen to people who say that you don't have to do something during pregnancy. if your doctor's tells you it's necessary, then it is. it's a really sugary drink, usually orange flavored. you drink it as fast as you can, wait an hour and then they draw some blood and your done. if you fail the 1 hour test, you have to take a 3 hour test. if you fail that one, you have gestational diabetes and have to follow a low carb low sugar diet. if you pass well then you pass and you can continue about your normal diet. it's usually taken between 25-28 weeks.
