I only bought the bare necessities like bassinet a few baby clothes and one pack of diapers. I bought the bassinet from good will. My baby shower did not happen till after the last baby was born. The first three months you don't need much at all. You won't even use a crib or toys the first few months since babies are not fully awake and spend most of their time pooping, sleeping and attached to your boob. Don't buy expensive things until after your baby shower and even then you can wait a month until you feel better. Hope that helps! !

Lol buy what you want. I've only gotten clothes because I can't afford anything else right now. I have a bassinet but only because my mom has had since she was a baby. so I plan on having baby girl sleep in that for a few months and that'll give me more time to get furniture for her room lol

@kansasstategirl, that's what I did! And I really didn't get everything that was needed from my baby shower so I'm glad I did it to minimize stress at the end of pregnancy!

I'd go ahead and start saving as much money as you can so that if you dont get everything you need/want, than you will have the money put back to buy it all 😊 And if you do get everything, you will just have extra money for baby

You can always go ahead and start shopping and if you get something from your baby shower that you already bought, just keep your receipt and return it.
