The doctor made the executive decision on his own to give me the epidural because I was in so much pain during just a pelvic exam during labor (yet I never felt a single contraction, until they gave me the epidural). Having it did absolutely nothing but make me finally feel the contractions.

I hate epidurals! I had to have c sections with both of my babies and they sucked! I have tattoos as well and I have no problem with shots at all but getting a shot in spine is a whole other ball park

I personally had induced labor and an epidural at 7cm. I think what's worse than not getting an epidural is when your epidural runs out right before you have to push d: I had a painless labor but felt everything when I gave birth.

Didn't hurt any more than a regular shot to me and certainly not more than feeling a baby head push out your who-ha lol

I went to 8 quick and then they were about to break my water and it did it on its own . got there at 7am had her at 9:25am

Me too lol well i used to be but I had so many needles in my arm during my pregnancy I was like w.e do what u need to do to me

They say once your at a certain point in dilation they won't do it. so I've heard.

Not really my contractions were mild and you just feel a little pinch and then the little tube going thru the hard part was staying still and arching my back like a cat cuz of my big belly so uncomfortable lol @rachellynn3316

it works differently for everyone

only because your already in pain I'd assume^ @noahsmom123 my sister had an epidural with her first daughter and was miserable. made her labor way longer.

It's really not that bad lol
