Hi! so big surprises for my family. Our son turned one in November, and it turns this mommy is pregnant again! Though it was planned, is it wrong to feel guilty? For some reason, I keep having this incredible guilt that my son will think he won't be loved anymore when I know that's not true. pregnancy hormones?!

I know exactly how you feel! My son was eight months old when we got pregnant again, it was planned but I felt so guilty and like a bad mom, like I was doing something bad to him by having another baby! I was down about it for a while, thinking he would feel super left out. 😩 but then I got over it and wasn't too worried! When the baby was born it was hard for like the first two weeks especially when my son would want in my lap but couldn't because I was nursing his sister, he would get so upset and cry, so of course then I started crying! Lol but that was about it and it didn't last long at all, and now my son could care less about his sister lol (kind of) and he isn't jealous at all, and he surely isn't left out, neglected, or loved any less! And he also does not feel loved any less or neglected, we do tons of stuff to make him feel extra special and remind him just how much we love him!! You got this and it may seem scary at first but it will be fine and I'm sure everyone will transition smoothly :) you'll be so glad to have them close together! My kids are 18 months apart and we love it, it's perfect! He is now about to be two years old, and she is almost four months old, the age difference is so sweet! You will just absolutely love it 😊 Good luck! 💜

@kmally, oh my goodness how exciting! our babies will be 22 months apart. I will definitely keep you in mind. it will all be worth it, these babies will always have each other and that's the best part!

I've definitely been dealing with the roller coaster--some days it's like oh we've got this! And other days I feel like I'm going to miss out on the cuddles and stuff of just having one :'( ahh! It will be a crazy ride but I've convinced myself it will be worth it ;) lol!

I 100% know what you're feeling! My guy was about 12-13 months when we conceived and we weren't exactly trying but not preventing either. I felt beyond guilty (and still do sometimes!). Definitely a normal feeling ❤️
@queendavis, thank you that's definitely reassuring. It's a little heartbreaking because he's such a mommas boy but I will continue to do one on one to make him feel special. the age difference is perfect, I'm sure your little ones will love to play together shortly!
