hey mommas who hsve babies, how old can baby be to drink a bit of water from the bottle?

@bekka1071, Closer to a year. to much water can kill a small baby, breastmilk and or formula is what's recommended

We were told by her doctor around 6 months I could start juice/water, but no more than 4 oz a day, and even then I only gave her 2 in the beginning. I wouldn't do it before then though.

I started at 4 months only because she got constipated and a little tiny bit helped loosen her up

with my 1st dr told me a bit of water is fine 4 a newborn

@mickeyandminniemouse thats why I was wondering, also if he was to get dehydrated.

My doctor basically told me that water isn't recommended when baby is super small because water has zero calories and a newborn needs callories

giving water too early threw off my daughters electrolyte balance causing her to have seizures. it truthfully depends on the doctor the baby and the amount.

once we figured it out everything was fine. she's a happy healthy 11 month old now
