Okay, so this is going to sound horrible but I'm not very excited about baby number 2. Growing up, I was an only child. I have no experience with siblings. I'm afraid I'll end up playing favorites or something. My daughter is the most important thing in my life right now. She is 15 months so doesn't understand what is going on. Now, while I am happy to be pregnant again....I think its just more my nerves kicking in and keeping me from getting giddy and excited. I hope I can handle 2 babies and not play favorites or anything. (this baby was conceived on birth control. just haven't had a lot of time to process it either since it wasn't planned.)

I feel the same way at times, and from what I've heard from everyone with similar feelings, it goes away. I was an only child as well, although I had step siblings, it just wasn't the same. My daughter is my everything, and similar to yours, she's young (she'll be a year in less than two weeks) so she doesn't understand what's going on right now much. The further along my pregnancy as gone, the more I've warmed up to it. It is hard to understand how I'll love another child as much as I love my first, but we aren't the only ones that feel this way, and I have confidence that I'll love them the same. I think it's just natural feelings, so don't feel bad over it!
