Dr did a membrane sweep 2 days ago. let me just say it was MORE than uncomfortable. now I'm terrified of labor. my pelvic area feels like it took a good beating. I can barely walk. omg shoot me I get induced in 4 days. someone please make me feel better!
he said it was supposed to help break my water. he went in and separated my sac from my uterus I think. all I know is so far, that was the worst experience I've had yet!
I hope so. this is my first so when the dr told me what he was doing I was like "OK whatever" then as he was doing it I was thinking "lord I think he's trying to kill me!" lol
Stripping membranes, sometimes called membrane sweeping, is a method used to try to start labor. The health care provider puts her or his finger into the cervix -- the mouth of the uterus -- and uses the finger to gently separate the bag of water from the side of the uterus near the cervix.
