Hey ladies! I'm sad to have to post about such a terrible thing but I'm doing it in hopes of preventing deaths.

The leading cause of death of women during pregnancy is VIOLENCE. There are several different types of abuse and they can all end up escalating into violence, which could be deadly for you and your baby. If you suspect your relationship is dangerous or headed down a dangerous path there is so much help out there for you!!! Here are the top hotlines:

If you are in imminent danger please call 911. There are also local shelters everywhere. If anyone knows of more resources please post here, especially resources outside the states as these are mainly US resources.

If you are in a relationship and you are not sure of your safety, please call. You can also go online and take a test called a MOSAIC that pretty accurately can determine the safety of the relationship. Remember you are worthy of being treated with dignity and respect. I encourage everyone to comment on this as VIOLENCE IS THE LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH AMONG PREGNANT WOMEN. It is also completely preventable when women get the proper support.

Some examples of abuse... Not directly related to pregnancy, but that's besides the point. There are several forms of abuse too. Physical is not the only one, although for the point of the post, physical is a big problem. (Not to take away from the original post). Also, emotional and mental abuse, as well as financial abuse exist as well. Just something to think about. Stay safe preggies & mommas.

yep it's pretty horrific!! actually violence kills more women and children worldwide every year than malaria, car crashes, and Civilian casualties from war combined!! but the statistic for pregnant women in the states holds true, with violence being the number one cause of death more than car crashes and pregnancy complications

Hi Preggies, We've had some requests from moms who are going through difficult emotional times, before, during and after pregnancy. Some of you may be feeling alone, sad and anxious in an already challenging time. Some members would like to create a group where they can support each other and stay positive when it seems nearly impossible. Anyone interested in joining this group would comment here and then follow those women. Then you can look out for each other and send positive words of encouragement or just lend an open ear. One or two of you could also lead the group as well. Also, if anyone has a counseling background or would like to help out, please join, too. these women wishing death on babies, is seriously pissing me off!! I had a stillborn at 31 weeks, it's not something you wish on someone, or a baby who hasnt got to experience life! if you wish that I hope you rot in hell!!👌🏻 this is not how someone wants to take their baby home, I had to take my first home in an urn, wishing death on a baby or person period is sick, how would you feel if someone said that to you? you wouldn't like it! and in my opinion if you're gonna wish death you dont deserve a little blessing!
