@jaxonsmom123, omg that makes me feel so much better! lol I'm really scared about the pain, and all that but I'm so excited, beyond excited that I'm just trying to block out the fears lol but I plan to use the pain meds as I need them, definitely lmao and I know I'll be fine, I'll have my sister & mom (who are my bestfriends) and my boyfriend so hopefully I can keep my mind off the pain. and I think I can shower, like you said as long as the epidural has worn off completely,

@wad2016, I was allowed to get the epidural any time I wanted. I'm all for pain meds. The baby is fine and why be in unnecessary pain. I was also allowed to shower when the epidural wore off, once they are comfortable you can safely stand in your own. All hospitals may be different though.

I also packed a towel because I heard the hospital ones are rough and small, and I packed an extra bag for any dirty clothes. And I packed some maxi pads also.

😩😩 how early will they do an epidural? I know that sounds bad lol but I hate being in pain... even with how terrified I am, I still can't wait to go to the hospital lol I know I'm going to use the pain meds and epidural, will they help??

@wrd2016, I am a baby with pain and trust me it's no picnic but after it is all done you really don't care because you are holding your little miracle. You will be fine!

@jaxonsmom123, that's what im most scared about is being in pain! 😩 I'm terrified. lol so I'm definitely gonna take both!

@wrd2016, labor isn't fun as it is so having your own pillows and maybe a comfy blanket from home (that you don't mind getting dirty) will help a little with comfort

@wad2016, I thought the same at first but they are fully stocked and will keep refilling as you get empty!

Also I totally agree with your own pillows! I brought my body pillow for my labor and am so happy I brought it. Hospital pillows suck!

Don't worry about diapers and wipes and receiving blankets. In fact nurses will usually encourage you to stock up on the ones there when you are ready to go home! Trust me you will want to save all your supplies you have at home, they are expensive enough 😄

I heard you should bring sanitary pads because you'll need them after birth and the ones the hospital provides aren't very good

Chapstick.! My cousin just had her baby 12/31/15 and said the worst mistake she ever made was not taking chapstick
