anyone breastfeed? my boyfriend wants me to do it, but I'm not sure.. does it hurt? help. I'm a first time mommy!

it doesn't hurt as long as baby latches on, ur nipples can get dried and crack but they have nipple cream for thatand it doesn't hurt the baby, I really encourage breastfeeding, is a bond u will have with ur baby, I breastfed my son and plan on breastfeeding my soon to be daughter

It can or it might not. But you can ask your ob if the hospital your delivering at has a Lactation consultant and they will bead to help. Even some nurses are a great help. I would just say that if this is something you really want stick to it. It can be challenging at times but it's a bond like no other. But always do what's right for you and yours and not what others think you should do.

I breastfed and it was the best experience ever. It hurts for maybe a week, and it doesnt hurt after that. The bond between my son and I was amazing, im so glad i breastfed. And he is so healthy and active and developed soo early, he is doing things that my nephew 6 months older than him still dont do and has 9 teeth already!! I personally think why he developed so quickly was because of being breastfed. I highly reccomend, and support breastfeeding. I plan to breastfeed this baby as well :)

I will highly recommended. It was little painful for me in the beginning but I found out from my lactation nurse later on that I wasn't doing it correctly. Once i learned what to do it was rewarding. And I was pumping so I wasn't the only person who had to feed her. I wouldn't wanna do it any other way I hope I would get the chance to do it with my second kid too.
