So my son is a year and a half. He'll be 2 in July. He is still in pampers but I just got his training pants in the mail to start the potty training process and I don't know where to start! We are a family of girls and my son is the first boy in the family in about 10 years. We're all just looking at him because we don't know how to potty train a boy. What do I do? Please help! I don't want to have two babies in pampers

Boys are more stubborn in the potty training area so it may take a little bit. My son took off with potty training when I started letting him stand to pee like Daddy. I kept trying to make him sit and even tried keeping him naked but nothing worked until he went to the potty with Daddy then he wanted to be just like him. Both of my boys were over 2 before they got potty trained so if he's not showing a lot of interest he may just not be ready. I've also heard throwing a cheerio in the potty to have them aim at helps but my boys were pretty good about getting it in the toilet.
