So my husband is Ecuadorian and Puerto Rican and I am Panamanian and West Indian. My dead beat father did not feel the need to teach us Spanish so I don't know enough to even speak sentences. My husband on the other hand can have a conversation in Spanish and won't speak to our son in Spanish. I also want to learn more. He's annoying me already.
(I am in no way comparing my husband to my father. My husband is an amazing father to our son.)

Every mix couple deals with this issue!
I am from Brazil Portuguese speaker and my husband is Palestinian Arabic speaker! I told him its up to him to give our baby better opportunity in the future being bilingual! I am gonna talk Portuguese as much as I can so my baby learns a least a little! I have met children that spoke all 3 languages! Come around talk to your hubby kindly and insist that your baby be bilingual!

Speaking Spanish will only do your son good! In the future his career oportunity increases just from him being able to communicate! Point this things out to you husband and he will understand and eventually teach your sweet baby! 👍
