So guys I have a couple questions and they might sounds kind of dumb ok but one how soon can you add your baby to your health insurance I've seen that you have to wait until their born but I've seen some newborns get sick like days after birth so how would you cover that if they don't their SS card to get insurance? Also we do have health insurance (really good insurance through being employed by the government) but being my husband and I are actively trying to conceive a child we were talking about how much we could walk away owing the hospital after the birth. What's the max you guys have ever heard of people owing?
they are usually covered under your insurance for 30 days after birth
with the insurance coverage I was told that as long as I am covered for her birth she will be covered under me until she is added with a ssn you just need to call and ask as you near your due date.
u get a pediatrician for the baby and when you're pregnant u just tell the health insurance company you're pregnant and they fix your health insurance to accommodate the unborn baby for appointments and ultrasounds

Awesome guys thank you!!! How much do you think I could walk away owing the hospital?
