they give you a paper sheet to cover you up as long as your friend is towards the top of you she won't see anything cause you have to lay back and put your legs in the leg holders and the Dr will pull the sheet up a little so he can see what he is doing

yes just to insert the ultrasound wand in there but then he will look at the screen as he is doing the ultrasound I had a male Dr and it's less awkward than a female I think lol

Usually the first ultrasound is done vaginally I had my first ultrasound at 12 weeks and it was vaginally they measure baby and give you a due date and you get to hear the heart beat

I already heard the heart beat when I was 6 and he said at 10 we will again and an ultrasound ☺️ @dianacuaya

I had a ultrasound when I was 9 weeks I got to hear baby's heart beat

For my 12 week they just took an ultrasound, listened for babies heartbeat, etc. Then either that appointment or next I got a Pap smear.
