my dog was amazing with the baby. he got so attached and would sit in the door way to watch him sleep and come get me when my baby woke up. my dog was old though he passed before my baby turned one. they say to have the dogs smell a blanket the baby was using first then later introduce the baby to them.

When I brought my daughter home she was around 3 dogs and now she has 4dogs and they're so good with her and she does good with them. My pit bull is extremely protective of her. He follows where ever she goes and gives her a bunch of kisses and sleeps next to her crib every night.

Having dogs around actually helps your child's immune system, unless it's a crazy filthy neglectful situation. As long as you don't leave the baby somewhere the dogs can stomp on him, they should be fine. My dog was nervous and avoided the baby for months. I personally haven't heard any stories about aggression from dogs toward babies. I think they belong together. ❤

Totally not true as far as respiratory goes unless you really let it get out of control and don't clean up after your animals but your two look super well cared for and have very short hair compared to all of my furry beasts lol. It's actually proven that children raised in a home with animals have stronger immune systems and less allergies ;) mine can be hyper sometimes too, but we have a fenced yard they can run in, and we have certain areas gated off that are dog free zones :)

I don't think you'll have a problem. Dogs have a pack mentality, and unless they've been mistreated themselves, they won't harm a baby. Your fur babies look well cared for and loved, so they'll adjust just fine!

we got a baby doll and act like it was the baby we played videos of the baby crying once we brought my son home the dogs wasn't all over the baby just sniffed him my son is now two and they are not a fan of him

I heard if you hve someone close to the dogs go in the house first and calm them down (usually they're happy when you're gone for a long period of time) and then you come in with the baby and slowly introduce them that they will be fine. Be aggressive with them (raise voice a little) when they get close to the baby so they know that the baby isn't a toy lol.

My dog is very good with my son. She's an old English bulldog (half English bull dog and half pitbull) and I never really trained her. You will be surprised how dogs are around babies. Mine is very nice and patient. Yes she gets jealous but just give them attention as much as you can. No I don't think they should be outside dogs personally

I have an indoor pup. She's a maltipoo. I've been letting her investigate the baby's things, and our trainer has a toddler and infant whom she was willing to socialize Jasmine (our pup) with. There's 5 kids in our house already so she's mastered being gentle. She has a crate and all the kids know not to bother her when she goes there.

I have a 3 year old German Shepherd and she is inside. We were worried about how she would behave with the baby but actually she is fine. Her instincts kicked in and she knows she has to be calm and gentle with the baby. She's really great with her.
