So me and my man just had the "how long are you going to work" talk. I think I'll try until it's too much, he is thinking I should only work one more month but I want to work as much as I can to help out. Any moms have input, when did you stop working? (We plan for me to stay home a year)
I advise stopping a little before its impossible, especially if your husband supports you. Bringing on unwanted pains and scares is awful. My husband wanted me to stop 15 days before I did (I went by the Dr's recommendation) but I tried to keep running tons of errands and doing too much and ended up scaring us, so take it easy before you get to that point.
I worked up till the day before I was induced with my last pregnancy. I was always on the go. I use to manage 101 apartments. Now I'm a SAHM and wish I stayed active during this current pregnancy.
You just have to listen to your body. I work on my feet so about a month ago I reduced my hours worked a week from 35 to 18 and next week is my official last week just because of the Braxton hicks contractions I have all day long. My body is telling me to chill for the last week or so and that's what I'm gonna do. Cause you'll regret not having a week or two to yourself before baby arrives
@mommy2be15, see that's what I want to do. My SO works hard and would be gone during the week either way. He's more then willing to give me money but I just like having money I earned
@may_mommytobe, I worked as a waitress and in the local c store as a cashier, janitor, and in the deli making pizzas and sandwiches. It kept me fit and active during my pregnancy which is healthy but man my back hurt by the end of the day
That's about how long in plan to stay home. I'm going to keep working and save as much money as possible so I can pay for myself that year and he doesn't have to work all the time and be gone. so I'm going to stay as long as possible but probably until a month or two depending on how I feel before my due date
I am a stylist. I was on my feet 38 hours every week. It was very tough I was swollen and ended up having him 38 weeks which was good cuz doctors think I was starting to get preeclampsia so if you can I would do it earlier. But if you have to go back and can only have so much off I would wait as long as possible because it sucks going back to work lol
You didn't feel overly stressed ? @edomke @nharri22 my job is easy, I work at the college but I'm on my feet all the time! I'm due early May and thing mid April would be a good time
@tahtahme, @mommaz thank you for your feedback! I really appreciate it
