hey mommies
I was wondering how often your LO ate at 5 months. my son isn't on formula or rice cereal yet and during the day he seems to be eating less and less breast milk but seems happy as can be. just wondering if this happened to anyone else.
My girl is 4 months and exclusively breastfed, and for a little while there she didn't wanna feed as often and I was worried my supply would take a dip....and then out of NOWHERE she hit a growth spurt and is cluster feeding like crazy! She showed all signs of readiness to start solids and got the okay from the doc, so we started letting her have about a tablespoon of baby oatmeal mixed with breast milk per day, and she's taking to it really well, she LOVES eating like a big girl now! It's really just to get her used to the idea of eating something other than booby, not really nutritionally doing anything for her but I feel like she just begs for more and more this girl is crazy hungry now! I think they just go through phases where they are busy learning new things and aren't as interested in eating, and then they'll want to eat ALL THE TIME lol I think as long as he's growing and seems satisfied and still has plenty of wet diapers, you're good 😉
My 5 month old eats 4 ounces of formula every 2-3 hours and then we do a tablespoon of rice cereal at dinner time.
