Hey guys I'm almost 7 weeks and I'm a FTM. I had an ultrasound and saw my baby's heart beating. I'm kind of scared with this being my first baby. Do any of you lovely ladies have any suggestions or tips for the first trimester. What to eat and what not to eat etc etc?

@tallgirl16, I think it started around 7 weeks for me and went until just after the start of the second trimester. If you're not seeing your OB for a while, the book "What To Expect When You're Expecting" has a good list of which foods are really good during pregnancy and which to avoid.

@mrssarahbeth, when dis morning sickness start for you? I literally only felt nauseous when I was 4 weeks right before I took the test. And I don't meet with an OB for another two weeks I got the first ultrasound because I was having pain.

My first trimester was a little rough, bad nausea and I was exhausted all the time. My advice would be don't push it - eat what sounds good when/if you're hungry and take naps when you're able to. There are no-no foods (unpasteurized dairy/juice, raw meat/seafood, your OB should give you a list) but otherwise just go with what your body wants, because once morning sickness kicked in for me I was more worried about getting any calories rather than too many.
