my mom is acting like I'm just the worse person in the world for not going. I don't feel like I HAVE to go & I don't want to be forced. I believe in God & me & him have a great relationship thats all that matters. how do I tell her to butt out while living in her house ? @lexis_mommy15
oh. that's a hard one. the bible talks about Sunday being a worship day. my dad use to say he spent Sunday worshipping the lord how he saw fit for him. he was always uncomfortable in a church. I would let her know that you still worship him, but that you do it your own way.
ive been telling her that . my dad didn't go to church , my grandma didn't go to church but because she forced me to go all these years growing up she feels I'm still supposed to go even though I'm grown now with my own beliefs and child. @lexis_mommy15
There's people in third world countries who don't have churches, have no idea what a church is, but they know God and they serve him and have great relationships with him. God isn't going to leave those people out of heaven because they didn't go to church. So he isn't going to do that to you either. You can go to church all day long and have the worst relationship with God. You don't need to be in a certain building to love & serve him.
I understand girl. I'm having a faith crisis myself, so I don't feel right going to church and going through the motions. Also, it might not be the right church for you anymore. I'm sorry your mom doesn't understand. Keep trying though. ☺ And I pray you find what works best for you.
