Lotion is okay, I had a premie baby and they advised it for moisture to the skin. Just don't apply to genital area, belly button area and face.

Make sure it's really warm in the room when you bathe him , newborns get sick so fast

@mltober, I suppose every hospital is different. I looked online too and it advised against it tho I think during my Lamaze class they said I could use lotion. @amirxalyak, do what feels right to you or ask one of the nurses from the hospital. They will advise you as well ☺️

I was told to wait with lotion for a couple weeks because they still have the coating to protect their skin and they are going to peel in the first few weeks anyways
