honestly kinda depressed and hurt. my SO has been supportive about me breastfeeding then I showed him a picture of a mom tandem nursing her (what looked to be ) 1-2 year old and newborn and told me it was weird and gross and that he doesn't want me nursing our son past 1....... he's the only person who has supported by breastfeeding and this honestly crushed me. all the feeds I've done today since his comment have made me sad.

Maybe he'll change his mind. I think it's kinda weird to go past a year but by the time I get to a year I might not feel the same way. Don't let him get to you.. You are the one feeding your baby & you should do it that way YOU want to! Do your thing girl! =]

My husband used to say Tannon was too big. I said he's this size because my Breastmilk. And got out FACTS about nursing past one. Now he's supportive in nursing ow ever long Tannon needs to.

I hope so. I mean he knows a lot of the benefits. he's been to both lactation appointments I've been to. it just hurts to know that he thinks it's gross after he even said he knows the milk is still good for him. he even said it's mainly gross because you don't really see it happening. my response was because so many are shamed for it in the US that they are afraid to feed in public and be discriminated against. I even told him how on average babies wean at 4 to 5 years world wide. it just really hurts. idk what to even do to feel comfortable feeding around him now. @thehowtohippie @mychellemabelle @kimberlyyyy

Id tell him you don't see it happening because of people like you who are shaming mothers into stopping or to hide it away.

Tell him this! It's normal to nurse past one. My mom keeps telling me that she stopped at one and that it can get a little much or they "will remember" so she thinks there's no need past one. I am sorry your husband said that. So discouraging! Show him info. http://kellymom.com/ages/after12mo/ebf-links/
