Can someone explain to me why hot showers are bad during pregnancy?

Took plenty of hot showers and baths during my pregnancy and baby is perfectly fine.

I've never had no problems taking hot showers so I think you'll be fine. My cousin is a nurse so I asked her about the hot showers and she said I would be fine. @hellokarly

But they are usually talking jacuzzi type temperatures for extended periods of time. I doubt your shower can get that hot and you stay in there for and hour or 2 lol

It can cause your body heat to increase too much causing the proteins in babies body to start to denature and change. Which is why when you have a high temperature it's bad for many reasons but also because it can cause the proteins in your brain to denature. Which is why some peoples are never the same after having an extremely high temperature for too long.

They day it causes your heart rate to rise and the same will happen to the baby but I have 2 healthy girls and all i did was sat in the shower or bath and I'm pregnant now and I do the same

they say its cause it makes you give birth faster but i sont believe that cause im pregnant and if anything it helps me with the pains and calms me down .

Yea I heard that hot baths are bad and stumbled across a post about hot showers being bad too, and that's all I shower in. @billyllianna @britt16 I usually try not to stay in for to long(since I've found out I was pregnant) because the way I found out I was pregnant was blacking out during my shower lol but it wasn't due to the heat.

I take hot showers daily. They said hot baths are bad because the hot water can go up inside and get the baby hot. When the baby gets hot they can't cool down like we do and it can cause problems.
