@babyboots, i'm not convinced she's that small to be honest. between 20 and 30 weeks I had scans every two weeks and since 30 weeks I've had them every week. apparently small babies can stop growing and end in stillbirth and apparently they often don't thrive as well towards the end. They've been scanning weekly as there comes a point when they're better off out than in and they think we've reached that point as both growth and movement have slowed. not thrilled about being induced early but 37 weeks is full term and safe so I would rather be safe than sorry x
id of thought they would keep her in ur tummy as long as possible but they no what they doing.. they said my son was small and he was 9lb 2oz haha so dont let it worry you hun.. wish you loads of luck Xx
@babyboots, apparently they just offer a sweep before inducing. I'm being induced at 37 weeks because baby is 'small' and her growth had slowed down at my 36 week scan. I'm not expecting it to work, I only want to know if I'm dilated already to avoid disappointment on induction day haha x
Thank you. I had two when I was overdue last time and they didn't do anything. I initially declined this one but changed my mind as I'm being induced on Friday and if I'm already 2cm dialted they can just break my waters and use the drip rather than spending ages waiting for the gel to work. so I changed my mind about the sweep so I could see how favorable my cervix is. I know it's unlikely to he 2cm dilated but I really want it to be 🙈
