my daughters pediatrician said there isnt enough nutrition/calories in my breastmilk so she isn't gaining weight fast enough. anyone know what would cause that and is there anything I can do to fix it?

I was told the same thing so they add some formula to my breast milk

This is an excellent resource. According to research fat doesn't vary that much that it should have a significant effect on weight gain. Check out the links on the Kellymom site I linked above it has different suggestions :)

@jaixi, they told me to nurse then an ounce of formula then nurse formula.... and to pump when not nursing

Don't let the doctors force you into formula. Your daughter is getting what she needs from you. I exclusively breastfed my son until he was 14 months and I had a bunch of doctors tell me that he didn't weigh enough but not all babies are going to be the same and in my opinion mommy knows best. I stuck with what I thought was right and he's fine now breastfed babies tend to be skinnier than formula feed babies anyway.
