Ok so this time round I really want to breast feed can anybody tell me what I need do I need all…

This will be my first time Breast feeding and so far ive only got myself Breastpads and some comfy nursing bras x

I'd like to breastfeed, have no idea where to start! How to prepare etc. My mum's a midwife, when I see her Sunday I'll ask about it/where to get advice etc xXx

This will be my first time breastfeeding don't really know what I'm doing but brought all this... nursing bras, breast pads, electric pump, nipple shield (just in case) milk bags to express into to freeze the milk, nipple cream and nursing pillow (I also brought breastfeeding cover up to carry in my changing bag) xx

@jayden19, @mummywarwick, I am doing this for the first time too, I have stocked up on breast pads, and I have got, bottles, teats, bottle brushes, sterilisers, sterilising tablets, milk storage tubs, milk storage bags, milk storage container (to keep bags organised), electric pump, I have got bras from m&s, nursing t shirts from mother care, a nursing pillow ordered online, breastfeeding cover off amazon. I am yet to get Some nipple cream that's only because I'm not sure what to buy.

Hi. I teach breastfeeding to pregnant and new mummy's. it's best not to express any milk until your milk and feeding is well established. around 6 week usually. skin to skin is really important for helping with milk production. feed baby as much as it wants. watch latching on films on you tube. the key is to a get a good latch. get a good comfy bra for day and for night. breast pads etc. pumps are all subjective. some like manual and some like electric. I like manual as I can control the suction and speed. most importantly relax, drink lots of water, make sure you are comfy when it comes to feeding and that you can comfortably hold that position for as long as the feed lasts. if anyone wants to message me feel free. I breastfed my three and I'm going to breastfeed this one.All I needed was confortable bra and breast pads :) never used any pumps, never expressed any milk.The baby was the one, who regulated how much milk I'll produce.And it all went well :) Good luck to all
