I'm so sick of fighting over FOOD STAMPS! Yes I understand you're under my account so now they're "our" food stamps but that doesn't mean you can just spend them on bullshit whenever you want. I live in this house where sometimes people choose to order fast food when there's real food (or at least the option to go out & buy real food) or sometimes they make something I don't like.. & I need to be able to feed myself during those times!! I'm done. This is really how the first day of the year is gonna be? I won't do it

i am curious as we dont have food stamp here in Quebec, Canada, what can you get with food stamps? is it only for food?

@pokemom641, yes but that includes like candy, mini cakes, like corner store junk food you know what I mean? That's what I'm referring to as "bullshit"

@pokemom641, especially since he has actual money, & I have a little leftover too. Like you don't need to use the food stamps when you could just buy it. I need these food stamps to last the whole month. Even before he was under my account & I was getting way less, I NEVER said no when somebody asked me for something. Now he's tryna call me selfish & stingy like no I'm tryna be responsible & make sure we have food stamps when we need them

i totally agree with you. food stamps should be like plan b or like for emergency since he hss money

wth i would be so pissed. the food stamps are for you and the baby! grown ass man . he shouldnt even touch them. dont let him manipulate you. i wouldn't give him anything. if he is working he should buy his own food. my hubby wouldnt do that. i share some of the wic items i get that i dont eat but he will not touch our food. he is supposed to give you money not take away. put your foot down. dont let him intimidate you.

@yahuahsdaughter, He doesn't intimidate nor manipulate me. He's the only one working, & it's just a minimum wage part time job. Most of his money goes towards our bills & essentials that we need. The food stamps are for our household which consists of me & him (& baby, of course). That's not my problem, my problem is that he wants to use it whenever & not be smart about how to use them then dismisses what I'm saying as "being stingy" when really I'm just trying to be smart about how they're used. We live with his family so I let them use them too when they need them bc I can't pay them rent at the moment... Shit adds up I need these to last all month.
