I think it's best to wait until they show intrest starting to young can cause stress for them and you and starting young let's say they pee on the potty and they do it more then once but they don't understand how to hold there pee or poo or when ti go when a baby to young gets a taste if how nice it feels to not pee or poo on themselves they will freak out when they do in their diaper but sense they dont understand to hold it or when to go that's when the stress start if that makes sense to you I started my son at 2 1/2 when he showed intrest in flushing the toilet and sitting on it although he would be scared to poo he showed intrest till he hit comfortable with it and would start going by himself if I left him alone sometimes I made him nervous I'd stand out the door or in my room next to the toilet ,with my first it was easy at 2 just took his diaper away said no pee pee boo poo in pants after meals or drinks and when he felt it on himself he freaked and ever sense then went on the toilet he liked to be alone in there to hoping my 3 sons that easy sorry long comment

it's okay and I have a one year old. and he has learned how to flush the potty. but I wasn't sure. what would be the right time.
