I have high blood pressure, very high blood pressure. I've not been able to see straight at all. I've got these horrible pains that start out like my stomach is growling like I haven't ate (which I have) & all types of other stuff I'm 37 & 1. & I'm not sure that if I asked my doctor to induce me, would he?
It shouldn't make a difference how old you are. You are still a woman carrying a baby and that is the first priority. I agree with the other ladies. Besides, if you don't feel you should be discharged, you can refuse to sign the papers if you don't feel you have been given adequate care. I would go to L&D, and stay there until they bring YOUR doctor in.
Each Doctor is different, each pregnancy is different. As someone who had to have an emergency c section at 29 weeks because of preeclampsia and another issue I would say go to your local hospital's labor and delivery department. Nurses are there to help, not make fun of you. They should treat you with respect so don't even worry about them- they're not your concern- your health and babies health are. Now figure out how to get to the hospital so you can be seen. Vision changes, headaches, swelling, or any time you feel like crap is a good enough reason to be seen. Go!
you can be induced if you want. your doctor just has to choose the best date after he checks you but I'm pretty sure they will because of your high blood pressure. it's dangerous for you and the baby
they don't do anything but tell me to breathe and go home. I've went in several times for it.. I just don't know if I should request to be induced. I can't much more with her and her uncle (he's two) they are both driving me to a wall of endless pain. & I don't want to request to be induced and be denied and laughed at by the nurses. They do that enough.
still if your bp is high you need to go to the er or l & d. it needs to be monitored.
It sounds like precalmasia or at least the symptoms sound like it :/ I hope it's not, good luck hun !
@motherof6joys, I've brought it up about being induced and they just don't listen. I haven't seen my midwife or primary for weeks to ask them. they haven't had an opening. I just don't think I can handle another couple days... @kimberlyyyy , I've went there and went there and when I tell them what's going on they look at me nuts and then monitor the babies movement and lets me leave. they don't check me, they don't look at my blood pressure. my daughter had a base line heart best of 190 and they sent me home (the nurse at my obgyn told me she wouldn't have let me go home till her bpm went down) @mamamj , I don't like being pushy with them because then they start to treat me like an ignorant teen and I've been through far to much to be disrespected because I'm worried about it and I just want this to be over.
