Go to the department of social services. Idk where they have one in Stamford but they have one here in Bridgeport or you can apply online for the husky insurance
I was going to say that here in Florida I applied for medicaid but it took them a month to review and approve it so I had to pay out of pocket until my insurance came through and they wouldn't back date either so I wasn't refunded but I needed to go and couldn't wait so I would just start applying now and hope for the best.
