hi mommies new here. I have a question. have any of you fellow mommies ever had the copper iud and had a hard time getting pregnant after having it removed? I've had mine removed since July and have been having unprotected sex with my hubby since then without even any scares.

I had the copper iud out in august.  we still aren't pregnant yet either.  my doctor said theoretically we could get pregnant as soon as it was out if I was ovulating.  so I'm assuming it doesn't hinder anything at all.

it was the Mirena and my periods were crazy too and I have pcos

@emileebri2522, was it the copper iud or the mirena? I had copper after my oldest and the week I got it taken out I conceived my youngest. I took it out in July so hubby and I could try for #3 and since then my cycles have been so whacked out and no such luck 6 months later.

I had my iud removed may 2013 and we just got prego with help from my doc
